MODULE 1 - WHAT IS GOOD GOVERNANCE?

In this chapter, the target audience learns what good governance means and why it is crucial for citizens’ trust in the authorities. The module provides insight into how rules and principles ensure fair, objective and legal treatment of citizens.

MODULE 2 - AUTHORITY

The target group learns why all decisions made by authorities must have a legal basis (legal basis). An understanding is gained of how different laws and regulations form the framework for the municipality’s work and how legal decisions are ensured.

MODULE 3 - RECORD KEEPING & NOTE TAKING

The target group will gain insight into when and how information should be logged and when the obligation to take notes applies. Proper documentation is discussed as a key part of transparency, legal certainty and efficient case management.

MODULE 4 - CONFIDENTIALITY

The target group learns what information is confidential and when confidentiality applies. Understand how to protect citizens’ privacy and the consequences of inadvertent disclosure.

MODULE 5 - DISQUALIFICATION

The target group gains knowledge about when disqualification can occur and how to handle situations where personal or financial interests can influence a case. The focus is on how to ensure objectivity and impartiality in case handling.

MODULE 6 - DUTY TO GUIDE

The target audience will gain insight into how to correctly guide citizens about their rights, opportunities and obligations. Emphasis is placed on ensuring correct referral to the right authority and providing accurate information without making decisions on behalf of the citizen.

MODULE 7 - GOOD GOVERNANCE

The target group learns how good administrative practice supports professional and respectful citizen contact. It focuses on the importance of timely responses, polite communication and the use of clear and understandable language in case handling.
