The course is built as effective e-learning, combining videos, animations, interactive exercises and realistic scenarios. The target audience not only learns what to do – but how to do it in practice. The target audience gets a solid foundation in first aid that can save lives.

Participants are guided through the most important first aid disciplines: cardiac arrest, accidents, acute illnesses and life-threatening bleeding.

This online first aid course is ideal for those who want a professionally strong, flexible and easily accessible alternative to a physical first aid course.

In the introductory module, the target audience is introduced to the key principles of first aid, including the chain of survival, the ABC method and the most important first steps in an emergency.

In this module, the target group learns to understand and apply the chain of survival, examine consciousness and breathing, and perform proper CPR.
The target group also learns:

  • The ABC method and the body’s three vital systems
  • Recognizing abnormal breathing
  • Giving proper CPR and artificial respiration
  • Using an AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
  • Why a little help is better than no help

The module includes realistic scenarios, movies with rescuers and quizzes to reinforce learning.

This module shows how the target group creates safety at the scene of an accident, assesses the type of accident and provides first aid while waiting for professional help.
Among other things, the target group learns:

  • The three main points of first aid: Create safety – Give first aid – Call for help
  • The four accident types: mechanical, chemical, temperature and psychological impacts
  • See-Listen-Feel method for assessment
  • Using a stable side lying position
  • How to provide psychological first aid

It equips the target audience to identify and manage some of the most common emergency conditions:

  • Asthma attacks – symptoms and help
  • Seizures and epilepsy – do’s and don’ts
  • Low blood sugar and diabetes – how to spot symptoms and help correctly

The module makes it easy to understand the difference between harmless symptoms and situations where you need to react quickly.

In this module, the target group learns to distinguish between different types of bleeding and act quickly in case of massive bleeding.
The target group learns to:

  • Identify arterial and venous bleeding
  • Provide first aid with direct pressure, compression and pressure dressing
  • Recognize internal bleeding and respond appropriately

In the module, the target group learns about:

  • Basic resuscitation in babies and children
  • Respiratory problems and foreign body treatment in children

These modules provide extra reassurance to parents and professionals working with children.
